This is why I am doing what I'm doing. I have CP, but it is not the kind which most people have. And I use a wheelchair and I have a hard time speaking: so there is a lot of things different about me which makes people push me away or baby talk to me just because they don't understand it. Mental health isn't like a disability but it's being looked towards like one, sometimes even worse! It's just different and it can be a lot to deal with. But if we all took the time to learn about differences, maybe we won't be so divided! This is what I'm working on!
Disability proud month
Here's my thoughts on disability proud month. I am disabled I need help with everything but personally this new disability proud month doesn't sit right with me. Look around you, everyone has a disability but we don't see each of them having proud months. Yes, people in wheelchairs and other special needs:need to show others that we are the same as everyone else but we have to do that every day. I'm proud to be different. I don't need to show it off.. Because everyone is different!
